Lion back in den after briefly escaping into hallway at Seneca Park Zoo

Rochester, N. Y. (WHAM) — A lion at the Seneca Park Zoo briefly left her den Friday morning, forcing guests to vacate a part of the park. During routine care duties with the African lions, one of the lions wandered into a hallway in the holding building, according to the zoo. Staff moved quickly and safely and the lion returned to her den. The zoo superintendent released a statement, saying the public was not in danger.
